Ingredients:
All-purpose flour 100g
Ripe pumpkin 60g
Yeast 1g
Instructions:
Steam or microwave the ripe pumpkin until soft. Mash into a smooth puree.
In a mixing bowl, combine pumpkin puree with yeast and flour. Stir together until the mixture turns into a loose floc.
Knead the dough by hand into a smooth and elastic ball. Cover with plastic wrap and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size.
Once proofed, the dough should resemble a honeycomb texture inside. Knead the dough again to release excess gas.
Roll the dough into a round sheet and flatten slightly.
Roll it up from one end into a log shape. Knead smooth and shape evenly.
Cut the dough log into small, even-sized pieces.
Arrange the pieces in a steamer, leaving space between them. Let them rise for 8 minutes while resting in the steamer.
Turn on the heat and steam over boiling water for 10 minutes.
Turn off the heat and keep the lid closed for a few more minutes before serving to retain softness.
