For the Filling:
1 tofu cutlet (cubed and blanched)
2 tbsp chopped mustard greens
A pinch of salt
A pinch of sugar
1 tbsp light soy sauce
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp chopped green onion
½ tsp paprika
1 tsp sesame seeds
1 tbsp hot oil (to pour over the mixture)
For the Dough:
All-purpose flour (as needed)
Water (to form dough)
Extra dry flour for shaping
Cooking oil for pan-frying
Prepare the Filling:
Blanch tofu cubes in boiling water, drain, and place in a mixing bowl.
Add chopped mustard greens, salt, sugar, soy sauce, and oyster sauce.
Add chopped green onion, paprika, and sesame seeds.
Heat oil until hot and pour over the mixture.
Mix everything well and set aside.
Make the Dough:
In a bowl, mix flour and water to form a smooth dough. Let it rest for 10 minutes.
Sprinkle dry flour on your work surface.
Roll the dough into a long rope and cut into equal small pieces.
Assemble the Buns:
Take a piece of dough and roll it into a thin circle.
Add a spoonful of tofu filling to the center.
Fold and seal the edges, then gently flatten.
Pan-Fry:
Heat a pan over medium-low heat with a bit of oil.
Place buns in the pan and cook until golden on both sides, flipping once.
Serve:
Serve hot and enjoy the crispy outside and juicy tofu filling inside.
