260g steamed sweet potato (mashed)
220g all-purpose flour
40g vegetable oil
1 egg yolk (for brushing)
White sesame seeds (for topping)
Steam and Mash
Steam 260g of sweet potato until tender. Use a fork or masher to mash it into a smooth puree.
Mix Dough
Add 220g of flour and 40g of vegetable oil to the mashed sweet potatoes. Stir and knead until a smooth dough forms.
Roll Out
Place the dough in a large sealable plastic bag or between two sheets of parchment paper. Roll it flat and evenly using a rolling pin.
Prepare for Baking
Cut open the bag and brush the top of the flattened dough with egg yolk. Sprinkle a generous amount of white sesame seeds across the surface.
Cut into Strips
Use a knife or pastry cutter to slice the dough into stick-sized strips.
Bake
Transfer the strips to a parchment-lined baking tray. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 15 minutes until slightly golden and crisp.
