Recipe Cooking Instructions:

Ingredients:

  • Dumpling Filling:

    • 150g shrimp, peeled and minced
    • 50g broccoli, blanched and finely chopped
    • 50g carrot, blanched and finely chopped
    • 1 tsp minced ginger
    • 1/2 tsp salt
    • 1/4 tsp white pepper
    • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • Wrapper & Assembly:

    • 20 wonton wrappers
    • Water, for sealing

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Vegetables:

    • Blanch broccoli and carrots in boiling water for 1-2 minutes. Drain and finely chop them.
  2. Make the Shrimp Mixture:

    • Add minced shrimp to a bowl. Mix in minced ginger, salt, white pepper, and sesame oil. Stir well to remove any fishy odor.
  3. Combine Ingredients:

    • Mix the chopped broccoli and carrots into the shrimp mixture until evenly combined.
  4. Assemble the Dumplings:

    • Take a wonton wrapper and place a small spoonful of filling in the center.
    • Wet the edges of the wrapper with water. Fold the wrapper in half, sealing the top corners and pressing down gently to create a neat dumpling shape.
  5. Steam the Dumplings:

    • Place the assembled dumplings on a steamer lined with parchment paper or cabbage leaves to prevent sticking.
    • Steam over medium-high heat for about 10 minutes, or until the dumpling skins turn translucent and the filling is cooked through.
