250g glutinous rice flour
200ml milk
Red dates (adjust based on preference)
Prepare Dough Base
In a mixing bowl, combine 250g glutinous rice flour with 200ml of milk. Stir thoroughly until a smooth, slightly sticky dough forms.
Add Red Dates
Wash and cut red dates into small pieces using kitchen scissors. Add them directly into the dough and knead until evenly incorporated.
Shape into Strips
On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough into long strips.
Cut into Pieces
Cut the strips into bite-sized pieces, around 1.5 inches long.
Steam Until Set
Place the pieces into a steamer. Steam over boiling water for 10 minutes until soft, translucent, and fully cooked.
Serve Warm or Chilled
Enjoy them warm for a mochi-like bite or chill for a firmer texture. Great on their own or with a drizzle of honey!
