2 large potatoes (steamed and mashed)
1/4 cup shredded carrots
1/4 cup diced ham
2 tablespoons chopped green onions
1/2 teaspoon chicken bouillon powder or chicken essence
1/4 teaspoon five-spice powder
2–4 tablespoons flour (adjust as needed)
Oil for greasing hands
Prepare Potatoes:
Steam the potatoes until soft. Peel and mash them thoroughly in a large mixing bowl.
Add Mix-ins:
To the mashed potatoes, add shredded carrots, diced ham, and chopped green onions.
Season & Add Flour:
Sprinkle in chicken essence and five-spice powder for flavor. Add flour gradually until the mixture becomes dough-like and easy to handle.
Shape Balls:
Grease your hands with a little oil. Take a small amount of dough and roll it into a smooth ball.
Air Fry:
Place the potato balls into an air fryer basket lined with parchment paper. Air fry at 180°C (356°F) for 15–18 minutes, or until golden and crisp.
Serve:
Let cool slightly and enjoy warm! Great as a lunchbox item, afternoon snack, or savory party bite.
