For Pumpkin Dough:
100g all-purpose flour
1g instant yeast
60g pumpkin puree
For White Dough:
100g all-purpose flour
1g instant yeast
55g warm water
Make the Pumpkin Dough
In a bowl, combine 100g flour and 1g yeast. Pour in 60g of pumpkin puree and mix until combined. Knead into a smooth dough and cover. Let it rest until doubled in size.
Make the White Dough
In another bowl, combine 100g flour and 1g yeast. Add 55g of warm water, mix, and knead into a dough. Cover and let it rest until it doubles in size.
Shape the Dough
Once both doughs have risen, roll each into equal-sized flat rectangles. Stack the pumpkin dough on top of the white dough. Roll them tightly into a log, then cut into equal pieces.
Form Flower Rolls
Take each piece and twist gently to form a swirl or flower pattern.
Final Rise
Place the rolls on parchment paper in a steamer basket. Cover and let them rest for 15 minutes.
Steam
Steam the rolls over boiling water for about 15 minutes. Turn off the heat and let them sit for 2 minutes before opening the lid.
Serve
Let them cool slightly and enjoy warm! Soft, bouncy, and naturally sweet from pumpkin.
