Boneless chicken wings – 8 pieces
Pineapple – cut into strips, soaked in salt water
Soy sauce – 1 tbsp
Honey – 1 tbsp
Orleans seasoning powder – 1 tsp (or your preferred BBQ seasoning)
Chinese five-spice powder – ½ tsp
Marinate the Chicken
Place the boneless chicken wings in a mixing bowl. Add soy sauce, honey, Orleans powder, and five-spice powder. Mix thoroughly until all the wings are well coated. Cover and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
Prepare the Pineapple
While the chicken is marinating, cut pineapple into thin strips and soak in a light saltwater solution for about 10–15 minutes. This enhances the sweetness and keeps the pineapple juicy during air-frying.
Stuff the Chicken Wings
After marinating, stuff 2–3 pineapple strips into the center of each boneless wing. Fold and secure the chicken so the pineapple is enclosed.
Air Fry
Preheat the air fryer to 180°C (356°F). Arrange the stuffed wings in a single layer in the fryer basket. Cook for 20 minutes, flipping them over halfway through to ensure even browning and caramelization.
Serve
Once the wings are beautifully golden with slightly crispy edges, remove and serve hot. The sweet pineapple inside provides a burst of juicy contrast to the savory chicken — absolutely delicious!
