Step 1: Make the Base
Crush the biscuits until they become fine crumbs.
Melt the butter and mix it with the crushed biscuits until evenly combined.
Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of small round molds or dessert rings. Refrigerate to set while preparing the filling.
Step 2: Prepare Chocolate Filling
4. Heat milk and chocolate over low heat until fully melted, stirring constantly.
5. Add the softened gelatin sheets into the hot chocolate mixture and stir until dissolved. Set aside to cool slightly.
Step 3: Make the Cream Mixture
6. Whip the whipping cream and sugar together until 70% stiff (soft peaks).
7. Divide the whipped cream into two parts. Mix one part into the chocolate mixture to create a mousse-like texture.
8. In a separate bowl, heat the remaining milk and dissolve any remaining gelatin, then pour this into the second half of the whipped cream. Stir to combine and set aside.
Step 4: Assemble
9. Pour the chocolate mousse layer over the biscuit base in each mold.
10. Add chopped mixed nuts and gently stir them in.
11. Add the second cream layer on top. Smooth the surface and refrigerate for 2–4 hours until fully set.
Step 5: Decorate & Serve
12. Once set, unmold the cups and garnish with more nuts or cocoa powder if desired. Serve chilled.
