200g fresh shrimp (peeled, deveined, and minced)
1/2 cucumber (shredded)
1 tbsp shrimp paste
1/2 tsp salt
1 tbsp flour
1/4 tsp ground white pepper
1/2 tsp light soy sauce
Oil for pan frying
Prepare the Cucumber
Shred the cucumber finely, sprinkle with a bit of salt, and let it sit for 10 minutes. Then rinse, drain, and squeeze out excess water.
Combine the Ingredients
In a large bowl, mix the minced shrimp, shrimp paste, drained cucumber shreds, flour, white pepper, soy sauce, and a small pinch of salt. Mix thoroughly until it forms a sticky, well-blended paste.
Shape the Patties
With damp hands, scoop out a portion of the mixture and gently press into flat round patties.
Pan-Fry to Perfection
Heat a small amount of oil in a nonstick skillet over medium-low heat. Place the patties in the pan and cook slowly for about 3–4 minutes per side, or until both sides are golden and the inside is cooked through.
Serve Warm
Plate the patties and drizzle with your favorite dipping sauce or ketchup. Enjoy hot and juicy!
