Ingredients:
1 small sweet potato, diced (about 150g)
1 apple, diced (about 100g)
1 egg
1 tbsp flour
Cooking oil
Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
Prep the sweet potato and apple:
Dice the sweet potato into small cubes and blanch in boiling water for about 2–3 minutes until slightly softened. Drain and cool. Dice the apple into similarly sized cubes.
Make the batter:
In a mixing bowl, combine the diced sweet potato, diced apple, 1 egg, and 1 tablespoon of flour. Mix well until all pieces are evenly coated.
Fry the patties:
Heat a non-stick pan with a bit of oil over medium heat. Spoon the mixture into round mounds (you can use a mold or just shape with a spoon). Sprinkle black or white sesame seeds on top.
Cook until golden:
Pan-fry each patty for about 2–3 minutes per side or until golden brown and fully cooked through. Flip carefully to avoid breaking.
Serve warm:
Let cool slightly before serving. These patties are soft, lightly sweet, and perfect for all ages.
