250g high-gluten flour
30g sugar
3g instant yeast
1 egg
100ml warm water
15g corn oil
Candied red beans (pre-cooked or store-bought)
Soft cheese (baby cheese or cream cheese)
Prepare the Dough
In a mixing bowl, combine 250g of high-gluten flour, 30g sugar, 3g yeast, 1 egg, 100ml warm water, and 15g corn oil. Knead into a smooth dough. Cover and let it rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes until slightly puffy.
Portion and Fill
Divide the dough into small equal pieces. Flatten each piece with your hands and add a spoonful of candied red beans in the center. Optionally, place a cube of soft cheese on top of the red beans.
Seal and Flatten
Wrap the filling by pinching the dough edges together, then gently flatten the dough into a round pancake shape.
Pan-Fry
Heat a nonstick pan over low heat. Place the pancakes into the pan (no need to add oil if using a good nonstick surface). Cook slowly on both sides until golden brown and slightly crisp, about 3–4 minutes per side.
Serve Warm
Let them cool slightly before serving. The filling will be warm, gooey, and delicious!
