600g milk
2 egg yolks
25g sugar
60g corn starch
11 slices of processed cheese
1 egg yolk (for brushing)
Cook the Custard Base
In a saucepan, combine milk, egg yolks, sugar, corn starch, and cheese slices. Stir continuously over low heat.
Thicken
Keep stirring until the mixture thickens slightly into a custard consistency. Remove from heat once thickened.
Mold and Chill
Lightly oil a mold. Pour the custard into the mold and smooth the surface. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours or until fully set.
Cut and Prepare
Once chilled and firm, cut the custard into small cubes. Brush the top of each cube with egg yolk.
Air Fry
Preheat air fryer to 200°C (392°F). Fry the cubes for 12 minutes until the tops are golden and glossy.
Serve
Let cool slightly and enjoy! Optionally, drizzle with a bit of honey or sweet chili sauce for extra flavor.
