Ingredients:
400g pork belly, cut into cubes
2 slices of ginger
1 stalk of green onion, chopped
1 tbsp light soy sauce
½ tbsp dark soy sauce
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp sake (or rice wine)
1 tbsp cumin powder
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp chili powder
A pinch of chicken salt (or regular salt)
1 tbsp white sesame seeds
1 egg
1 tbsp cornstarch
1 tbsp cooking oil
Cooking Instructions:
Prepare the Pork Belly: Place the pork belly cubes in a bowl. Add ginger slices and green onion.
Marinate: Add light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sake. Sprinkle in cumin powder, black pepper, chili powder, and chicken salt. Toss to coat evenly.
Add Coating: Mix in the white sesame seeds, one egg, cornstarch, and cooking oil. Stir until the pork is well-coated with the marinade.
Heat the Oil: Preheat oil in a pan over medium heat.
First Fry: Fry the pork belly pieces until they turn light yellow. Remove and drain.
Second Fry: Increase the heat slightly and fry again until each piece is crispy and golden brown.
Serve: Plate the crispy bites while hot. Enjoy them plain or serve with dipping sauces like chili mayo or garlic soy.
