5–6 pork sausages (e.g., French herb or grilled)
4 medium potatoes (peeled and steamed)
Salt & black pepper (to taste)
Shredded or soft cheese (mozzarella or cheddar)
1 egg (beaten)
Starch (e.g., cornstarch or potato starch)
Bread crumbs (yellow panko recommended)
Ketchup and mayonnaise (for topping)
Prepare Potatoes:
Steam peeled potatoes until soft, then mash while still warm.
Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Let cool completely.
Cook Sausages:
Bake sausages in the air fryer at 180°C (356°F) for 5 minutes. Let cool.
Assemble the Skewers:
Place each sausage on a skewer stick.
Press some soft cheese onto the sausage.
Wrap the sausage and cheese tightly in mashed potato, adjusting the shape into a uniform oval or cylinder.
Coating:
Roll the shaped sausage in a light layer of starch.
Dip into the beaten egg.
Coat with breadcrumbs until fully covered.
Air Fry:
Place in an air fryer basket. Bake at 170°C (338°F) for 20 minutes until golden and crispy.
Finish:
Drizzle with ketchup and mayonnaise or your favorite sauce.
Serve hot and enjoy that melty cheese pull!
