Iron bar yam
Purple sweet potatoes

Prepare the Ingredients:
Peel and cut the iron bar yam and purple sweet potatoes into small chunks.
Steam:
Place the yam and purple sweet potato pieces in a steamer. Steam over cold water for about 15 minutes or until soft.
Mash Separately:
Mash the steamed yam until smooth and creamy.
Mash the purple sweet potatoes into a separate bowl.
Layer the Paste:
Line a container or bowl with plastic wrap. Spread a layer of yam paste evenly at the bottom.
Add Purple Layer:
On top of the white yam layer, spread a layer of purple sweet potato puree.
Top Layer:
Finish with another layer of white yam paste. Press down gently to compress the layers.
Chill:
Refrigerate the layered mixture until firm, about 1 hour.
Cut and Garnish:
Remove from the mold and cut into bite-sized cubes. Spoon a little blueberry jam or sauce over each piece and top with a whole blueberry if desired.
