For the Dough:
70g low-gluten flour
130g medium-gluten flour
4g baking powder
30g sugar
40g butter
1 egg
35g milk
35g whipping cream
For Decoration:
1 egg yolk (for brushing)
Black sesame or food-safe pen (for eyes)
Make the Dough:
In a mixing bowl, combine low-gluten flour, medium-gluten flour, baking powder, and sugar. Mix evenly.
Add butter and rub into the flour until it forms a crumbly texture.
Add Wet Ingredients:
Pour in the milk, whipping cream, and egg. Mix and knead until a smooth dough forms.
Roll and Shape:
Place the dough between two sheets of wax paper. Roll to about 1cm thick.
Freeze for 10 minutes to firm up.
Use a round cookie cutter to cut out circles for the dog faces.
Form the Dog Faces:
From each round dough piece, gently pinch out two small ears and a nose to form the dog face.
Brush egg yolk on the ears and top of the head for golden color.
Bake:
Preheat the oven to 170°C (338°F).
Bake for 20 minutes. Halfway through, cover lightly with tin foil if browning too quickly.
Add Facial Features:
Once cooled, draw or dot on the eyes using black sesame seeds or an edible pen.
